BlackJack Overview:
One of the most popular table games, blackjack is like
no other casino game. It is the only game in which you can
achieve a true statistical long-term advantage over the house.
Originated from France, today's blackjack has many variations
which makes it even more interesting game due to the additional
fun and excitement. Unlike other table games, the blackjack card
game is very easy to learn.
Its goal and rules are simple and clear: in order to win a
hand you must have a hand value greater than that of the dealer
without exceeding twenty-one.
There is no need for you to hide your hand from the other
players or from the dealer because all players gamble against
the dealer and he can't take make decisions on his own due to
the casino very strict policy (dealers must take a card until
his/hers hand value is at least 17). Although blackjack can be
learned very quickly, it still remains a difficult game to
master.
This game of skill requires different strategies for
different situations. In order to play it correctly you must
take in consideration at least the number of card decks used and
the particular rules of each casino. This is the only way to
gain an advantage over the house. It is this slight advantage
that makes blackjack one of the few games that the house edge is
smaller in the long run.
